From the Elder's Pen FRIENDS IN HIGH PLACES Past/Future Articles

Have you ever made the statement or heard it said when a special favor was done for someone, “They must have friends in HIGH PLACES?”  Have you ever considered that we as Christians have a friend, not only in this life, but in the world to come who sits in the highest place of all?

There are many and varied blessings in living the Christian life while on earth.  God gives us the assurance of His providence and love as long as we are obedient to His word.  He has promised He will never leave nor forsake us.  Paul wrote in II Tim. 4:16-17 that he stood alone at times except for the Lord.  Then in the world yet to come the faithful of God will share in the fulfillment of the greatest promise of all, a home in heaven to forever be with the Lord while the ceaseless ages roll on and on.  John 14: 1-3.

Yes, what greater blessing or honor could ever be bestowed upon man than to have it said he was a “friend of God?”  James 2:23.
