Excuses And Outcome 11/26/00 Past/Future Articles |

You are responsible for your own destiny. You are free to choose what your life will be. You have within you the opportunity for contentment and happiness regardless of circumstances. Maybe it is true, "Life is what you make it."
No doubt some intend to obey and serve the Lord, but they continue to put it off for a more "convenient season" (Acts 24:25). EXCUSES, EXCUSES: I haven't got time, "seek ye first the kingdom of God . . . " (Matt. 6:33). I know I ought to - but, "To him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, to him it is sin" (James 4:17). I will some other time, "Now is the accepted time" (II Corinthians 6:2).
What a tragedy it would be to have heard the powerful Gospel message (Romans 1:16), put off obeying, then die and go to the judgment bar of God unprepared. Those who don't heed God's words will miss heaven. They will be eternally in a devil's hell (Matthew 25:46). What will be your outcome? The choice is still yours. Life with Christ is making it the best it can be. "And they all with one consent began to make excuse" (Luke 14:18).
Friend, if you obey God's Word, it will bring salvation. But, if you refuse to obey it, it will bring you condemnation. The choice is still yours, THINK! What will be your outcome??
Hope to see you Sunday.
