What kind of seed are we sowing? We are sowing either good or bad seed every day. Sowing to the flesh guarantees that we reap corruptible fruit. Such fruit as fornication, adultery, murders, idolatry and such like will not inherit the Kingdom of God (Gal. 5:19-21 and I Cor. 6:9-11). Perverted seed sown in our heart assures a dreadful harvest (Gal. 6:8). The seed of our fleshly desires will bring forth fruit that is corrupted. “Now the works of the flesh … are these: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings and such like” … (Gal. 5:19-21).Pure seed sown in our heart assures a divine harvest (Gal. 6:8). The seed of the kingdom (the Word of God) will bring forth fruit that is cherished. “The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance against such there is no law” (Gal. 5:22-23).
We are sowing seeds every day of our life. We sow our seed far and wide, and they will still be here after our life is over. Let us try to sow the seeds that God wants us to sow. Dear friends, “God is not mocked,” and his law will not be altered. “Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” This life is short, so let’s sow “God’s Word” while we can.
