“OUR” WAY OF SALVATION

Past/Future Articles

Man has always sought his own way of salvation instead of following God’s way.  Cain decided to offer a different sacrifice to God other than what God specified (Gen. 11).  Naaman thought he could do as well to dip in the rivers of his won country rather than in the Jordon which he had been instructed to do by the man of God (II Kings 5).  Today we still have those who trust in their own ways and do not follow the way of God.  Some think they should only believe.  Some believe faith only saves, and some believe we are predestined to be saved or lost and that we can do nothing to change this.

Our salvation depends on obeying God’s way which is hearing the Gospel, believing it (Rom. 10:17; Heb. 11:6), repenting (Luke 13:5, Acts 17:30), confessing Christ (Rom. 10:9, 10; Acts 8:37), and being baptized in water unto the remission of sins (Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; Gal. 3:27).  When we do this, Christ adds us to His church.  We must submit to GOD’S WAY and GOD’S WILL as this is the only way we can be saved.
