"Let's All Get Involved!"

Paul no doubt had such involvement in mind when he wrote these words to the Ephesian brethren: “From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love” (Eph. 4:16).  Paul is speaking of the church as a body.    Notice, the parts are joined and knitted together.  Each part (member) supplies its work.  The result is increase.  This is a great picture of involvement.

There is room for everyone in the kingdom.  God has given to every man his work.  There is so much work to be done.  Why then, are we not more involved?  The church will never grow when only a handful assume the major part of the work load.

So many here at East End have found their place in the body.  They know what they can do and are doing it heartily to the Lord.  They are growing in their talents.  However, there are still too many who have not found their place.  They are not really involved.  They attend sporadically and when they do attend, it is generally just on Sunday morning.

We love you.  We want you to do better.  “Get involved.”  When you get involved, you will feel better.  Your attitude will be affected.   You will be happier in serving the Lord.  When you put your talents to work, you will see things just get better and better.  Your involvement will enable you to be an encouragement to others.  Those who are not involved should take note of those who are.

East End is blessed with many talents.  We have great potential.  We need to utilize all we have to the fullest.  Let us all find ways to get involved.
