The first book to be written of the New Testament is James, written in 45 A. D. by James.  The last book to be written was written by John in 95-96 A. D.  This book is also the last book we find in our New Testament, Revelation.
The Bible was divided into chapters in 1250 A. D. by Hugo, for our studying convenience.  The New Testament was divided into verses in 1551 A. D. by Sir Robert Stephens.  In Psalms 111:9 we find the word Reverend.  This is the only place in the entire Bible we can find this word REVEREND which means worthy, deserving, respect.  The King James version of the Bible was first published in 1611 A. D. and continues to be widely used.  The King James version of the Bible contains 773, 746 words.
  THE GREATEST WORD IS:  GOD
  THE LONGEST WORD IS:  ETERNITY
  THE SWIFTEST WORD IS:  TIME
  THE NEAREST WORD IS:  NOW
  THE DARKEST WORD IS:  SIN
  THE MEANEST WORD IS:  HYPOCRISY
  THE DEEPEST WORD IS:  SOUL
In Isaiah 8:1 we find a word that contains 18 letters of our alphabet.  The author of the book of Hebrews is uncertain (probably Paul).  It is written around 67 or 68 A. D.  John 11:35 has only two words.  Mathew, Mark, Luke and John:  These four books (often called the Gospels) begin with the birth of John the Baptist and end with the crucifixion, resurrection and ascension of Christ.  The intent of this article is not to impress anyone, but to get everyone to use their BIBLES more.
