"Are You Serious About Hebrews 10:25?"

God is serious about worship and we also should be serious about our worship and service.  God is a spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.  Are you serious about worship and service?
We need to make an effort to be in every Bible class and worship service that the church offers.  Why?  So we can grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord.  When we eat the bread and drink the fruit of the vine of the Lord’s Supper, do we remember the Lord’s death or is it just a habit and nothing more (I Cor. 11:23-30)?  Do we sing and make melody, or do we sing half-heartedly or not at all (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16)?  Do we pray without ceasing, or only when in need (I Thess. 5:17-18)?  Are we content with part-time attendance, or are we faithful in our worship (Heb. 10:24, 25)?
We are commanded to study (2 Tim. 2:15).  To rightly divide the word takes studying the Bible.  One of the best opportunities is to attend every Bible class offered by the church.  We must be sound in the faith: “But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine” (Titus 2:1).  Bible class and worship would be a good place to learn this knowledge.  We must obey the Gospel to be saved (Rom. 1:16).  The Gospel contains facts which must be taught and learned.  What better place to learn than in a Bible Class.  True worship is both simple and meaningful.  “And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (Acts 2:42).
Let us get back to Bible worship and let the worship be “in spirit and in truth.”  Who will you worship Sunday?  If we love God more than anything, then we will be in the assembly for worship regardless.  “O come, let us worship and bow down:  Let us kneel before the Lord our maker” (Psalm 95:6).
