From the Elder's Pen "Does God Speak To Man Today?" 4/29/01 Past/Future Articles

Many "preachers"? and other people have tried to convince others that God has spoken audibly to them or has appeared to them in a vision to reveal His will to them, or to give them a sign to let them know what He wants them to do.  They do not find any idea like this in the Bible because the Bible does not teach this.  All those obedient to God's word know that God does speak to man today, but He speaks to one and ALL alike through the scriptures, His Hold Word, the Bible, and in particular, the New Testament, which is specifically directed to those who have lived, and will live, after the death of Christ and until he comes again.

He still speaks, but He speaks through His Son, and His Son's words are set forth in the pages of the New Testament.  He speaks to ALL alike, and when we read, study and obey His teachings, then He saves ALL alike and adds ALL to His church (Acts 2); For it is by His words that ALL will be judged (John 12:48).
