"Third Compromise" (Continued) 1/14/01 Past/Future Articles |
![]() |
At this point we have discussed two of Pharaoh's compromises. The first was when he told Moses and Aaron to worship your God "IN THE LAND" (Exodus 8:25). Second was to go worship your God, but just "DON'T GO FAR" (Exodus 8:28). Now let us study the ruler's third reasoning.
In Exodus 10:10, Pharaoh tells Moses and Aaron to go worship your God, "JUST LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN." Can you imagine such a proposal? We have already established the Egyptians were an idolatrous people who did not believe in God. Would you go off and leave your children with someone like that? Many have!!! We allow our children to be trained hours on end by the electronic devices that are filled with violence which contain no character building factors at all. They only tend to tear down the moral fiber of adults much less our precious children. Then there is the ever present television. It could be one of the greatest media for good ever invented, but it is primarily evil with no good. We are leaving our precious young, absorbent minds to be trained by the world. We are now reaping the sowing of the Dr. Spock liberalism. Don't discipline the child, let it learn to be creative. They have created everything from devil worship to destruction of cemeteries and much, much more.
Yes, let us not listen to the Pharaoh's of this world. Let us love, protect and guard our children. We are commanded in Deuteronomy 6:7-9 to teach them of God when we rise up, lie down, when we walk in the way, write God's ways upon the post of our houses and on the gate. Yes, let us never leave the most precious possession we have to other hands. Guard your children. Teach them to be faithful in the Lord for the time will come when they will teach your grandchildren.
